Naik widow for inquiry in opposition to Fadnavis govt in Mumbai | Mumbai Information

Mumbai: Akshata, widow of architect Anvay Naik, has called for an investigation into her husband’s three-year-old suicide case and against the previous government. She said the Devendra Fadnavis government had suppressed the case and put pressure on the police not to investigate it.
She said the family has confidence in the Uddhav Thackeray government and state police. “We have full confidence in the Thackeray government and hope for justice. However, the government should open an investigation, ”she said.
Regarding the death in Mansukh Hiran raised by the BJP, Akshata said, “In one case, the police officer was transferred within a few days on the basis of his suspicions, while in our case a suicide note was found and e-mails exchanged. Does this mean that only rich people get justice? What about the common people? ”
She and her daughter Adnya spoke to the media on Thursday, saying they are still life threatening.
