Mumbai: As medical exams started last year this week, first, second, and third year undergraduate health sciences students are trying to reschedule exams, due to begin March 23, in some regions, students and parents have concerns expressed regarding the conduct of physical examinations. The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences has yet to make a decision. Approximately 40,000 students across the state are enrolled in the lower grades of undergraduate courses. One parent said with cases increasing every day, taking offline exams was risky. “There is also an increase in Covid cases in college hostels,” he added.
In last year’s exams, over 95% of the participants were present. There have been requests from student groups for an online exam.
